German Brand Award

An award for successful brand management. The German Brand Award was initiated by the German Design Council, which was set up in 1953 by the German Bundestag Parliament and funded by the Federal Association of German Industry. The Council's aim is to uncover, showcase and award unique brands and brand-makers.

In 2020, our Active Bike Bags were the focus of the jury of the German Brand Award. It was labelled as “winner” in the category Sports & Outdoor. The Active Bike Bags combine an elegant shape with a well thought out functionality and a sporty design. The campaign with an independent claim and label creates a bridge between the usage of photography, graphics and illustrations and the product, an active lifestyle and outdoor activity.

The German Brand Award has once again been awarded to us by the German Design Council on the 6thJune in Berlin: the independent jury presented us with this accolade for our communication concept of the NORCO urban series that we developed in co-operation with the agency Kodiak in Leutkirch. The concept and the continuous work on our urban series was awarded “winner” in the category excellence for strategy & creation.

The most coveted of the German Brand Awards was presented for the third time in 2018 at the German Historical Museum in Berlin. The more than 500 award-winners came from the business, political and media sectors. At a glittering gala event, the independent judging panel presented NORCO's Classic product range with the prestigious “Industry Excellence in Branding” award.

In 2017, the NORCO Retro product range received the “Industry Excellence in Branding” award from an independent judging panel of brand experts for its unique marketing concepts. The German Brand Award is presented by the German Design Council and the German Brand Institute to recognise successful brands, systematic brand management and sustained brand communication.
